Pengu Pond

 Sushi

A meeping, waddling, fish loving young penguin dinosaur.  Sushi was the original pengu that was the color of a penguin.  The others were dinosaur colored.  Unlike the other pengus, Sushi doesn't talk.  He understands everything being said, and it is not entirely certain that he cannot talk, merely that he never does so.  He instead communicates with meeps and body language that normally only Pseudo, his older brother, can understand.

Despite this, Sushi is cuddly, happy, and fun loving.  He is never down, and he is happiest when he is in a big crowd meeping his stories away usually to awkward staring pengus.

Pseudo

Serious... or so he believes to be.  Pseudo is a bit of a klutz.  He is always trying to set an example to Sushi, being kind to others, and showing all sorts of manners when needed.  He will however have occasional temper tantrums, usually after he has just ruined something due to his clumsiness or after he has been slapped by some pretty penguinette due to a misunderstanding, as even though he is the one that is usually understood, he has less of a way with words than Sushi.

 Jupe

A romantic like no other. Jupe adores stories of love, and hopes that her knight in shining armor comes to sweep her away some day. She sees this as being something very far away however, due to the two hopeless loons she is always hanging around with. Having a puppy crush on Pseudo, she would never admit to him that she does, due to the fact that she is usually embarrassed by his eternal clumsiness. Daydreaming, dancing and picking random flowers she finds is her favorite way of spending days, usually interrupted by Sushi's incessant meeping, which make no sense to her, unlike to Pseudo, whom constantly tries to teach her the language of meeping, something she makes a very obvious point of waddling away from.

 Sakura

A delicate, albino turtle with pink spotting all over her skin similar to the petals in cherry blossom trees.  This spotting lead to her name in the zoo she resides in, cared for by none other than Leon.  Sakura is a timid, quiet creature, even by turtle standards.  Her exact age is unknown as she is far too small to be an adult, having kept to the size of a newborn turtle, yet due to the evidently long time she has been kept in the zoo, it is well known she is a few years old, simply adding to her mystery.

 Azure

A baby turtle that loves to spend his time with the pengus, particularly Sushi.  Due to his young age, Azure is unable to speak yet, but he is quite the prodigy at swimming.  His glowing exterior helps him see in deeper waters, but he usually he needs to be escorted by other, bigger creatures, as this glow serves as a beacon for predators to make an easy meal out of the young turtle.

Breeze

A pretty little turtle with an unusual talent for singing.  She can often be seen taking care of the much younger Azure, trying to make sure the clumsy boy doesn't get into trouble.  Despite her usually exasperated look at Azure's antics, it is widely known that she loves caring for the little one as though if he were her own son.

Also known as Surfer Lee, this River Otter is a quad with a bit of an anthro feel.  Unlike the others, he enjoys spending his day at Pengu Pond chatting with his 'doods', and partying out with Leon and the gang.  Capable of walking on two legs, he is a feisty, partying fellow, mostly loved by all for his eternal need for a good time.

Tiramisu

A pond dweller who keeps his head in the clouds, like most of the Pengus that inhabit his home.  Unlike most platypus, Tiramisu has strange armor like scales that cover his backside and tail, enabling him to roll into a ball when danger approaches, as well as powerful hind legs and a rather flexible tail that serves for both swimming and tree climbing.  These strange features of his have made others call him a 'platygolin', as they refuse to acknowledge he is a platypus in any way, despite his bill and front half saying otherwise.  His best friend, Raserei, simply claims that he is a griffon like himself, but a griffon of the sea.  Under his own need to fit in, Tiramisu has happily accepted this as his species, despite his knowledge that his bill is no bird's beak.

 Neblina

Despite her calm, down to earth nature, it is highly believed that Neblina is a mythical turtle due to her strange, moon like shell.  Her body speckled with what looks like vibrant stars doesn't help this matter much, simply fueling the rumors further.  Neblina doesn't normally mind these rumors much, however, as it tends to make other turtles far too scared or be too much in awe of her to bother her in any negative ways, either afraid of divine retribution or simply not wishing to make such a beautiful and obviously other worldly turtle angry at them.
