Welcome to the Goennec Pasture. A light breeze ruffles the grass in this area, and prey is abundant from the looks of the rabbit burrows and rustling of bushes. Here lives my portion of Devi's herd, which is quite a large amount ever since the Siv, the breeding time of the Goennecs. The Goennecs were created by Kamaliah.
![]() | Blossom Blossom is a friendly, shy, young doe that tends to keep to herself. She used to live with humans as a kid, but she ran off with a wild herd that came across the town she lived in, revealing a slightly more rebellious side to her than she likes to show most of the time. She lost her first herd and was found by Sam and Dew shortly after. Dew seems to bring out the worst in her, but she seems to be the only doe able to keep the vain one stay in place. She has a very good knowledge of flowers, something she picked up from her mother. She tends to speak flower lore from time to time, especially to Forest, whom seems to be the only one interested. She has a small interest in Devi, although she herself does not realize this as she is still not thinking of finding a mate. |
Art of Blossom
![]() | Sam Outgoing,
loud and a bit of a prankster, Sam can also be very caring and
protective. He is friends with the Prime of his heard, and is very loyal
to him, except maybe during Siv. At 9 years, Sam was the one who found
Blossom and brought her to live with them when she was separated from
her former herd. He is not aware of the fact that Blossom used to live
with humans. Despite him having a bandanna around his left leg, this
goateed male has been wild all of his life. He has never told anyone
what transpired the day he got his bandanna, and the only does to see
him that day saw only a stag filled with blood. |
Art of Sam
![]() | Dew Dew is vain, egotistical and spoiled, not the best attributes to find on a wild goennec. Needless to say, she does have cunning, as otherwise she would not have survived for as long as she did. A poor hunter, Dew makes up for this with her battling strategies, being unusually strong for a doe, although she prefers for this to stay in a bit of an unknown state, as she believes it takes away from her feminine grace. She gets along with most of the herd, as she is not as obnoxious when in a stable environment, but she will attack brutally at any stranger, even if all she can do is throw harsh words their way. All in all, she is a very contradicting character who normally makes little if any sense at all, even if she doesn't realize how silly or obnoxious she is being. |
Art of Dew
![]() | Doe Distant, and sometimes seeming a
bit cold, Doe wasn't always like this. When much younger, Doe was quiet
and full of hope for things to shine and get better in the end. Sadly,
this was never the case in her young life, and after a couple of
mishaps, she started seeing the evils of the world that surrounded her
with new light, completely blocking herself from any friendship that
might simply end up in further pain. Straight to the point and with a
lack for tact, she comes off as a rude doe from time to time, despite
the fact that she never means any real harm with anything she says. |
Art of Doe
![]() | Guarionex Din
and Blossom's child, Guarionex is a warrior to the core... or so he believes. Reckless, jumping into the fray without thinking things through, and a bit of a spazz, this young kid is a loud mouth that loves nothing more than having fun. Resembling Sihir slightly, Guarionex looks up to the green doe, and wishes to outmatch her pranking kid days. Unfortunately for him, he lacks Blossom's older daughter's gift of passing through the spirit realm, which doesn't give him her 'invisiblity' boost when getting into trouble. |
Art of Guarionex
![]() | Ander Not
exactly shy, but very quiet, Ander is an almost complete opposite of
his sister. Taking after his mother's personality, Ander has a very
gentle attitude. This in no way means he is easily manipulated. If he
senses some sort of injustice, he will stand to fight it, with either
wits or strength. Ander looks up to his father, hoping to one day make
him proud. |
Art of Ander
![]() | Sihir Very high spirited and bouncy, Sihir has never let the fact that she was a stillborn get to her, or so she shows. Always getting herself in trouble, playing little pranks to tease the others, kids and adults alike. She especially finds it amusing to go into the Spirit Realm and tease Secretariat endlessly, usually following him around and asking plenty of nonsense questions just to irritate the stag. She hates how her mother grounds her when she has been 'bad', and usually resorts to going off to the Spirit Realm in anger. |
Art of Sihir
![]() | Todd Shy
and a disgrace in his mother's eyes, Todd is gentle and caring, and
very gentlemanly... that is, if he can stay around long enough to be a
gentleman. His cowardice normally gets the better of him, and he will
run away calling for his mother as soon as he feels threatened. |
Art of Todd
![]() | Koal Koal, or simply Ko, as most like to call her, is a serene and wise goennec. Not exactly old, but by no means not a young doe, Ko has seen her share of life, and seems to have matured at a rather fast rate as a kid. A calm and soothing air seems to surround her, especially when it comes to trying to talk to an angry crowd. Koal has never been easy to anger, but she rarely gets put to the test, as most goennecs, with the possible exception of Dew, try to get on her nerves. It is rumored that Koal is the descendant of one of the past Primes. Whether this is true or not is unknown, and seems to unfaze the doe as she ignores all questions or comments about this. Her half sister, Dew, was born in the same Siv, in the same harem. Despite this, the two do not get along, mostly because Dew cannot stand how she looks so much like their father, whom was a revered male for his good looks. The one strange tendency this rather quiet doe has is the painting of some strange markings on her legs right above her natural ones. She says they stand for wisdom, as the wisdom of a goennec stands in their sure footing on the harshest of cliffs. |
Art of Koal
![]() | Northern Lights At birth, his pelt had an unusual radiance to it. This was nothing unnatural, but his mother, thinking it was the most beautiful son she could have ever had, named him for the lights that streaked the sky at night. His name being too long for him to pronounce by most of the kids during his younger years, he earned the nickname Sky, to remind them where to look at night to see this natural phenomena. In his older years, Sky remained a naive and sweet goennec, with no interest in fighting or hunting, but in stories for the others. His story telling was so profound, that others tended to bring a rabbit or two to share with the gentle goennec when he shared his tales, allowing for his nutrition to stay on top. Despite his well formed muscles and generous size, however, the ram remains being a peasant, with no look to raise his status ever crossing his eyes. |
Art of Northern Lights
![]() | Dinali A gentle, warm hearted stag from Blossom's first herd. When the herd was destroyed by humans, Sam helped him escape, but he was separated from the older stag when the humans captured Sam, making him wander from herd to herd in the search of Blossom. The bright eyed male found the female he was looking for a couple of years after they were separated, and quickly established himself in the herd, much to the prime's dismay. Smitten with the floral goennec, Din keeps trying to show off to the doe, succeeding in making her a part of his harem and having a son with her during that Siv, but not reaching much further after that, noticing that Blossom has eyes for only Devarsi. |
Art of Dinali
![]() | Malaya Doe's first daughter after she arrived to Devarsi's herd. Delicate and beautiful, reeking with feminine grace like her mother, Malaya's name means 'freedom', something her mother was incredibly happy to give her child. Malaya resembles Doe's last kid who was killed before she was exiled, making her very attached to the frail kid. Coming from a healthy father and mother, this kid is no different. Like her mother, however, she has a calm, soothing nature, and a respect for all goennecs, from Prime to Peasant. This quality makes her an all around likable kid, and tends to keep even Guarionex from pranking her too bad, as despite her good health and graceful looks, Malaya has a rather frail heart, and gets upset quite easily when she sees a goennec intentionally harming another. Her mother worries about this quirk of hers, wondering how she will cope with her first Siv. |
Art of Malaya
![]() | Bacchus Laid back, a ladies man, and one of the most talkative males in the herd, Bacchus is a soldier, though most wouldn't believe it after a few minutes of talking with him. Easily captivated by the does during the mating season, his target has always been Koal, the unresponsive female no male has ever been able to woo. A close friend of Sam's, the two of them often go out hunting together ever since Devarsi became too busy leading the herd. |
Art of Bacchus
![]() | Moss An honorable soldier who is always eager to please those around him and bring smiles to the faces of others, Moss has earned the approving nod of many from the herd. Because of this, he tends to be able to get away with his flirtatious tendencies, smooth talking both females and the occasional male that permits it. Happiest when spending the day in the company of others, one of his many guilty pleasures is hearing Northern Light's stories, making sure to bring him a rabbit for his time, knowing the spacey male tends to forget to hunt, his mind never really where his hoofs are. His one downfall tends to be days with blazing heat, in which his fear gets the better of him and he tends to get more in the way than help in his frantic mood. The one goennec that can calm him during these days tends to be Doe, and even then he may turn a deaf ear on the spotted female until the day cools off. |
Art of Moss
![]() | Adonis The Prince from his once nomad herd, he and Dinali managed to survive after the horrid decimation of their herd mates and wandered alone as a two member nomad herd for almost two years before finding another survivor of their herd, Blossom. Wishing to keep the remnants together, Adonis stayed in Devarsi's herd as a grudging soldier, becoming arrogant and imposing around the younger Prime, relishing in watching him blunder up and striving to make his life as hard as possible, constantly trying to make him mess up. Despite his dislike of the 'unworthy' Prime, Adonis has grown rather fond of his new herd, and treats all others with respect and kindness, and occasionally gives Blossom hints on how to help Devi out when the stag is near a panic attack. |
Art of Adonis
![]() | Sir Washington Rarebit A pet goennec bred as a show goennec. Washington is one of the most pretentious, narcissistic goennecs both in the ring and in the herd. Always preaching about his perfection, Washington believes himself to be higher up than the rest, and has proclaimed himself their Prime, this falling on deft ears as they simply pity him or believe him to be slow, in Adonis's case. How he ended in the herd is a story that none know, as all he ever says in the subject is a reckless muttering of how his servants have betrayed him, which simply tends to raise more questions than answering. His biggest pet peeve is being referred to by anything other than his full name, unless he has granted the other goennec the privilage of becoming more familiar with him, as is the case with Dew and Blossom. |
Art of Sir Washington Rarebit
![]() | River Song Feminine and graceful around males, River Song is mostly a naive tomboy of two years old. Usually happy and smiling, River Song loves the spring and the life it brings, usually singing songs along the birds that flutter in the sky. Sharing a high friendship bond with Sihir, River Song is a bit reluctant to admit the fact that she is an adult and embrace her new status as a Soldier in the herd, and goes to her for fun and games when she gets bored around the iddle chitter chatter that tends to accompany the older members of the herd. |
Art of River Song
![]() | Allonsy Son to River Song and Wimbly and twin brother of Idris, Allonsy is a cheek, whimsical fellow of sorts with an attention span of a fly. Constantly chatting and normally unable to shut up, he is curious about the world around him, and normally has a response for everything. Living life to the fullest, Allonsy loves finding something he has no idea about, convinced that things like these make life all the more interesting and worthy. |
Art of Allonsy
![]() | Gorrion Plump, friendly and a bit on the lazy side, Gorrion is a lovable ball of fluff. Content to stay on the background, Gorrion loves to hear the talk of other goennecs, although he rarely participates in the conversations themselves, his mouth usually full of grass he just picked to nibble on while listening to the others. Despite his remarkably high reputation in the herd despite his lack of fighting or hunting skills, no one dares trust Gorrion with a secret, knowing the poor bloke will certainly tell it on, no doubt by accident as it slips out on some casual conversation with another goennec in the herd. |
Art of Gorrion
![]() | Squiddle A veteran soldier that has been reduced to peasant status, Squiddle is as bitter a goennec as can be. A heavy limp curses his right hind leg, the result of a vicious wolf attack that separated him from his old herd and now denies him the privilege of hunting for and defending his new herd. Aside of this horribly scarred leg, Squiddle has a slight height disadvantage, even with most does, his stature being that almost of a kid still not in his adult years. Ridiculing him because of this is not a good idea, however, as most of the younger kids have learned with time, his limp not deterring him from snarling and cursing at his attackers while physically injuring them if they make the mistake of underestimating him. Aside of Sandy, his only contact from his last herd, he has made good friends with Todd and Adonis, respecting the latter and seeing potential in the strong yet hopelessly cowardly kid. |
Art of Squiddle
![]() | Opaline A tactless and rather rude doe, Opaline is not this way on purpose and tends to feel quite bad about her ill behavior in the few times she notices it. Her quick temper doesn't help her lack of tact, and simply further spreads her bad reputation among most in the herd. Among the few that have learned to love this strong character of hers is Adonis, who is constantly being dragged around by the deceptively delicate looking doe who tends to be the only one who can keep him in check when he decides to act out against Devarsi. Ever since her friendship with Adonis started, Opaline has gotten much better in thinking before speaking, but there is no doubt that there is much improvement to be made for her in that area yet. |
Art of Opaline
![]() | Helena A young doe with a rather unusual knack for the medicinal values of herbs and flowers, Helena is constantly wanting to find more uses for the different herbs around the herd's territory. Unfortunately, her knowledge is still rather small due to her young age, and more often than not she will end up making a foul tasting concoction that will later be tested by none other than a reluctant Gorrion, her personal guinea pig. Despite this unusual quirk that has labeled her as eccentric, Helena is a kind hearted doe who loves chatting and listening to stories from the elders, especially if these stories are filled with knowledge from their own long lives. |
Art of Helena
![]() | Teluna A goennec so wise even Koal respects her and looks up to her as a role model. Teluna is one of the youngest elders in the herd, retired due to early set arthritis as well as a broken heart, as she lost her beloved mate to a bear due to his own faltering speed. She is a little bipolar in old age due to depression, making her suddenly become irritable or sad without warning. |
Art of Teluna
![]() | Jane An opinionated, strong willed, adventurous doe, Jane is not one to take the every day life of the herd easily, and she always craves for more in life than the monotony the others are so eager to accept. Because of this, her meeting of Allonsy was like a heaven sent gift to her, and she looks forward to her escapades with the strange ram she has affectionately grown to know as Chatty. Unlike most does, Jane does not look forward to the Siv, and has never had any kids, which isn't very surprising due to her young age, but at the same time has raised questions among some of the rams who have asked her only to be turned down by her, claiming that there is only one ram good enough to be the father of her kids, not necessarily out of love, but out of respect and awe at her beloved Allonsy. |
Art of Jane
![]() | Darla A happy go lucky, domestic girl, Darla is considered the highest ranking 'peasant' from the goennecs in the neighborhood by Sir Washington, who is also her closest friend as well as next door neighbor. Darla is a playful girl who loves her humans unconditionally, and feels sad and lonely when they are not around. Her lovable disposition usually clashes horribly with Sir Washington's personality, making them a rather strange duo and raising questions as to how the cheery doe manages to stand the obnoxious ram. |
Art of Darla
![]() | Francoise A specially bred draft goennec that had the immense pleasure of moving to the same household as a lovely young doe by the name of Darla. Unfortunately, she had the same unfortunate coincidence of moving in to the same neighborhood as a goennec named Sir Washington Rarebit. Francoise was a rescue goennec that was salvaged from horrible living conditions, forced to give birth to countless of young goennecs, only to have them removed from her side at far too early an age, making her unable to ever see them again. When she first arrived to Darla's household, she was wary of getting attached to the younger doe, afraid she would disappear just like all of her other little ones. She soon grew attached to Darla, however, and the two have become inseparable, despite Darla's questionable friendship with their next door neighbor. |
Art of Francoise
![]() | Silver A beautiful, radiantly silver and white doe named after her shimmering pelt, Silver is a shy, quiet girl who despite her beauty and having so many stags so constantly court her much prefers not being spoken to. Her social skills are abysmal, and is known to utter mere peeps and squeaks in response to questions, easily getting tongue tied when around others. Her feelings of unease are usually broken around Bear, a mute ram from Devarsi's herd. Not only is his silence something comforting, but there is a strong, secure air about him that makes her feel more tranquil than ever when around him. |
Art of Silver
![]() | Mukwa Son to Silver and Bear, Mukwa was named after his father in Silver's hopeful wish that he would turn out to be as quiet and strong as he. Unfortunately for Silver, Mukwa is as loud and abrupt as Bear is silent. Aside of loud and abrupt, Mukwa is a very selfish kid, always wanting things to go his way, and hating when the attention is deviated from himself in some way. He and Sihir do not see eye to eye very often, especially when Mukwa decides to bully the much weaker Todd, something the greed kid despises unless it is done by herself. Despite his bad behavior, Silver still has much hope for him, wishing for him to take a turn for the better as he matures with age. |
Art of Mukwa
![]() | William Every heard the term 'bat shit crazy'? Well unfortunately for William, this is the best way to describe him. The winged goennec was found by the herd during a time of forced migration, and he was found quite alone, inside a cave, laying upside down, his hind legs hanging high in the air as though if he thought he were clinging to the ceiling like the bats sleeping in the cave were doing. His having been a loner for so many years forced the ram to find company of another species, in his case the bats whose wings so resembled his. Due to his having kept the company of bats for so long, William is convinced he is half bat, and will display this behavior in the most unusual ways possible. |
Art of William
![]() | Alma The ghost of a pet goennec who was run over by a carriage, Alma has been unable to move on since her death, living a lonely after life until Adonis met Devarsi's herd, in turn making her meet Sihir and William, two goennecs that can fully interact with her despite her lack of a corporal body, both for their different reasons. Due to having been living in such a lonesome state for such a long time, Alma is pretty socially awkward, normally saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, and perverse or inappropriate comments being the norm with the delicate looking doe. She is very clingy to those who can see her, and tries to spend as much time as possible with them. Gratefully for her, William seems to enjoy her company thoroughly, especially when Sihir starts getting bothered about being followed around. |
