Not exactly rodents in the entirety of their genetic coding, most of the creatures under this area have some form of rodent in them, most of them linked to hamsters, or simply pure hamsters, such as Holly and Pookie.  Nevertheless, they live peacefully with each other, not the type to look for trouble, and always happy to have visitors around as long as said visitors aren't looking for a snack.

Luminita

Born an albino, Luminita's sight is not up to par with the others, making it a surprise that the frail girl is still even alive.  Gratefully, these creatures live by night, making her poor eyesight not worsen by the sun.  Not viewed upon with eyes of looking for a mate by the others due to her obvious condition, she has never procreated, and has long since lost hope of finding a mate.  Frail and tiny, even by her species standards, she tries for this to not turn her down.  Making up for her weak body, she has managed to gain superior wits and senses, making her a valuable asset to the colony regardless of her need for some extra care.

 Elara

A mix of a rabbit, a sugar glider and a squirrel, Elara is a member of a marsupial family of very unique species.  Mischievous and always wanting to get her nose into everything, Elara is a bit of a tomboy, usually acting like a male more than a female, and enjoys playful headbutting matches that the other females are more than likely to run away from.

Apollo

Usually the victim of Elara's pranks, Apollo has a soft spot for the reckless estrel, although he himself would never say so, much like he doesn't say much at all.  Some think of him as the mute estral, but in reality, Apollo just doesn't have much to say at all.  A male of few words and eternal patience, few tend to challenge him or get in his way, afraid to see what his anger would be like if it is ever unleashed.

Holly

Despite her teddy bear, button-nosed, perky-eared looks, Holly is a bitter girl. She was never properly handled as a kit, and as such, she views others as a threat, resorting to nipping fingers the second she sees them coming too close. True to Syrian hamster nature, she is solitary, preferring to be alone in her cage than cooped up with others. At the pet store she came from, she was the first to be separated from the rest of the hamsters in the tank, as she proceeded to starting a fight with every single one of them. After she was separated from the others at the pet store, she became the 'mascot' of sorts for the rodent area, as her incessant nipping made her rather unappealing to possible owners.

This is not to say, however, that Holly is unhappy. Once she was moved to a solitary tank, one of the pet store workers got slightly attached to the small critter, and made sure that she was just as comfortable as if she had been in a good home. Giving her a wheel, a frog shaped nest, and various toys, Holly quickly felt at home in the secluded cage. Learning the wonders of having her own space, the hamster quickly adapted to being able to use her wheel whenever she felt like it, sleeping without an unwanted number of bodies piled on top of her, and best of all, being able to nibble on her favorite gnawing stick without feeling threatened by the others giving her an evil eye, with an intent of taking it away from her. Her coat soon took on a silky smooth look, and her eyes regained a shine to them under the watchful eye of Kayla at the pet store.

One of the things that also made Holly stand out from the other hamsters was the way that her fur seemed to get stained by the treats in the food they gave her. While her coloration was that of a black dominant spot, her markings seemed to take on primary colors from her favorite pellets. Stains of red, green, yellow, orange, and in occasion, blue, could be seen concentrated on the black markings, with an unexplained purple tinging her bald stub of a tail as well. Kayla attempted to fix this at one point by feeding her another blend, but the stains kept appearing on her alone. Finally, the workers of the pet store gave up on her stains and simply took it as a quirk, not being able to deny that a rainbow spotted hamster was a rare sight indeed, and hoping that might make her more appealing to future customers.

Pookie

Holly's cagemate, Pookie is much friendlier and easygoing than the female, unfortunately, this is to a fault.  Pookie spends most of the day sleeping, using even the wheel as nothing more than a hammock, most to Holly's anger.  He does, however, always know exactly what to say to calm down or make Holly smile, making them an inseparable duo.  Despite his being 3 months younger than Holly, he sometimes seems like the older of the two, both due to his enormous size as well as his lax nature.

 Pepper

Avenger and mine's first hamster together.  She is a long haired sable banded girl with a love for peanuts, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.  Her favorite pastime is to climb on Tammy's shoulder for a ride or nibble on Avenger's flipper.
